Milt’s Coffee Shop celebrated its 50th anniversary on Veteran’s Day, very appropriate considering their most loyal customer over that time has been Serrill Brooks, a WWII vet who has eaten at the diner nearly every day over 50 years.

Serrill has made a lot of friends and lost a lot of friends over the years. Losing his wife four years ago and without children, the PA native continues to find social refuge from a coffee shop counter top, a tradition entering its fifth decade.
