Eyewitness News reporter Josh Helmuth was selected to drop the honorary puck at the start of the Bakersfield Condors’ “Teddy Bear Toss” night on Saturday. He also decided to be the unofficial mascot of the event by dressing up as a Teddy Bear himself. Could he be in two places at once? Watch to find out.
The official count of the teddy bears reached 7,477, which is fourth all-time in the event’s history. The bears are collected by the United Way and are dispersed to organizations amongst Kern County to children in need.
